- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
- 2 - 7 oz. cans green chilies, cut lengthwise
- 1 1/2 cup shredded longhorn cheese
Brown the beef and onion. Drain off fat. Add salt and pepper.
Place half of the chilies in a 10x6x1 in baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
Top with meat mixture.
Arrange remaining chilies over meat.
Combine the following -
- 1 1/4 C. milk
- 1/4 C. flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 beaten eggs
- Several dashes of bottled hot pepper sauce
Beat until smooth. Poor over meat and chili mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees
45 - 50 minutes
Cool 5 minutes and then cut into squares.
