After my mother passed away, I inherited her little file box of recipes. I am sharing them here for all her descendants and anyone else who might enjoy them. Most of them are quite outdated as we have access to a greater variety of ingredients now, we eat healthier and we have internet to help us! 5 Minute Cream Sauce

Beat 1/2 cup milk with 1/2 cup mayonnaise.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, just 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Variation: Add 1/4 tsp. dry mustard, 1/2 cup grated cheese and stir until cheese is melted.

For a tangy cheese sauce for macaroni, eggs or vegetables.
